I Do Love a Good Pwnage...

This thing has been updated so infrequently, you’d think Joel was in charge.

I have an exciting weekend planned. Would you like to hear about it? If not, then just stop reading I guess. Tomorrow, the wife and I are going to hit the drive-in movie theater. We are not even sure what is playing but Stacey has some sort of mental condition whereby she must visit the Drive-In as many times as she can possibly manage. She doesn’t like movie theaters and falls asleep halfway through most of our rentals, but as soon as summer rolls around it “Cuckoo for Drive-ins.” When I suggested that we go, her head actually started spinning on its axis and some kind of whistle went off. It was very strange.

On Saturday, a few of my geekiest friends are collecting for what we have dubbed “Nerd Fest 2005” or simply the LAN party. A LAN party, for those of you who are ignorant in the Way of the Dork, is a gathering to which one brings his desktop computer (yes the whole thing, monitor and all) and plays multiplayer computer games for hours on end. The fact that they exist is actually quite amazing when you consider that it is essentially a social gathering attended exclusively by those who possess no social skills. Enigmatic, really. Starting at 10 in the morning, I and seven others who have asked to not be named, will frag, pwn, and yes, even |20><0|2 one another until our eyes begin to bleed. If you would like to come, send me a note and I can get you on the list.

I have no plans for Sunday.
